When I am turning my steering wheel on full lock I get a crazy knocking sound from the front of the car.
Someone told me I just need to grease up the cv boot/joint and also been told I need a new driveshaft.
Is there anyway I can tell what needs doing on my own, such as what to look for.
Any help appriciated

I had this on my Ibiza. Turned out to be a drop link come loose.
Take wheels off, and give everything a good shake

i doubt it is the shaft, as it is basically a long metal bar with splined ends, it will be the cv joints at the end, have probably damaged the bearing cage inside the joint.

More than likely CV joint going on that explanation, greasing up would quieten it but if its worn it will need replacing eventually as the wear will cause failure which will strand you somewhere.

Thanks people, Il look into it.
Also I asked a friend today and straight away he told me that its my bearings and that would cost me so much to get fixed that I shouldnt bother.
Does that sound right ?
