Certainly is Jimbo, I checked earlier.

Don't wanna miss this one. I'm going to tax the Mercedes tomorrow, but I will also be taxing my body with yet another influx of alcomahol, so I won't be a pretty sight Wednesday noght when I fall out of the Merc.

Bring that shit on though mate.

Only if he's put a Griffith engine in it, or if your Corsa was new.

Saying that, the hitting it type of thing would deffo work too.

Jimbo, Charly appears to be wearing a wife beater in your new avatar.

Nice description B.

So it's a realy simplified system then, and pretty reliable too I would have thought.

Even though the spark isn't timed to the firing cylinder, is there still enough adjustment there and can it be done easily with a timing light, or is an expensive rolling road set up required?

Did you have any difficulty using the Ford hardware on a Vauxhall Broster?

I'm thinking I might give something like this a go if I ever get any jip from the ignition on the turbo, but realy I was after a separate coil set up if I was going to go to all the bother of changing everything.

That's why I got so interested in the system on your car Broster. I thought for a second you had some mad, individual coil rig.

I could deffo dig that.

I honestly couldn't tell you mate.

It's been a while since I was under the bonnet last and I actually can't remember.

I could have sworn it uses a dizzy, but i'm not so sure now.

One of my mates has a Mustang from about '96 and that has a distributor and a spark amplifier and I thought mine was pretty much the same.

The yanks normaly go with what is more economical and reliable due to the length of most journeys over there and as we both know from working with volkswagens, a normal distributor set up is precisely that.
