To fit an electonic speedo sensor into a cable driven gearbox so thjat a set of electronic clocks will work?

easy enough to do. get a mechanical speedo sender that has an electronic output (think some 1.2 16v engines had these) make up a small loom with 3 wires and plug them onto the sender itself in the correct order:
switched 12v +
earth
signal wire
then just run the signal wire to the red/blue on the back of the clocks. remember tho that if you are running a standard ecu that uses mechanical clocks this wire also provides the vss (vehicle speed signal) to the ecu, without it the ecu will not know the vehicle is moving and it will cut out and stall at junctions etc... although if you get the correct sender for the gearbox then it will be fine.

i have done this, not got the sender yet, but i have put a loom in, and when i get the sender will connect up.
but the three wires, red/ble, brown, and black, i have connected all to the back of the dials, will this work?? .....
