Hi,

i Bought my corsa already lowered at the back, i am unsure if it is lowered at the front but at the back i am sure it is lowered as it seems to be rubbing the arch when there is weight in the back or when a corner is taken sharply.

The Corsa its self has 17" 100+ Phantoms on it, the offset for the allows is 38-45 were as the car is 35-42... is this alloy to big for the car do you think with it not being widearch... The tyres i have got on is 205/40/17 and it seems to be that were the old plastic off the old arch is whats being rubbed by the tyre. The rubbing is happening more on the offside then near side, it has happened a little on the near side but the offside has alot of rubber burnt off.

There are no spaces on the back either as was first thing i checked.

I know for a fact the springs have not been changed but the rear Dampers have as it has gmax dampers which i dont think come standard do they i think the back is lowered 60mm, if i got the model of the dampers would this tell you?

Would i be better off going to a scrap yard and hunting out some original dampers and just changing the springs to lower the car?

Here is a few pics of the car:

You can see there that the back arch is pretty low to the tyre on the car...
I have taken pics of the near side and offside archs to chow you the problem i am having and if you would possible know how to solve this or if it would happen if the car was lowered about 30mm all round, without knowing how low the back is i guess it makes it hard?

Pics of off side:

Hope you can help

on the inside of the wheel your looking for et45 or a stamp with 45 on . if there is 38 or something else stamped on its own thats your offset.

Just had a look on every wheel on the car and i cant see this stamp anywhere, its not on the tyres or on the rim its sell, all thats on the rim is the little 10g, and 5g weights to balance them.

Spoke to John_G he says its deff the offset of the wheels.
