Heat soak and the fact youve drilled a SEALED airbox to disrupt the airflow yes. You will probably loose power.

But it will sound ace

Tas it will have the same affect. The hot air is sheiled in the airbox to a degree.

If you drill holes itl work the same as the airfilter....

Drilling wholes is better than an induction kit though heat soak wise....at least it has a cold air feed.

if you want to avoid heat soak, then keep the standard airfilter and dont drill bloomin holes in it! It will disrupt the airflow and allow hot air to get in to the sealed unit. It may be slightly better than an induction kit, but your talking 6 of one half a dozen of the other....

If its for sound then do it, but if u want to escape the hot running problems then just use the factory item. Beleive it or not they test it for stuff like that
