Just been down my local auto store to look at wheels for my Corsa b and the fat cunt at the shop just scoffed and said if I put 17's on a Corsa, it wouldnt turn.

If you have 17's on your Corsa, what problems do they cause you?

My cars not lowered right now, the intention was to drop it 35mm at the front...

17"s are ridiculously big for a Corsa, 15"s are plenty big enough.

Some 16"s can look OK on Corsas, namely Speedlines but usually 15"s are big enough, you can't deny that 17"s make it look like a monster truck/joke thing

17s with kit

15s with no kit

16s with gsi kit

basically ride is abit harsh on bumps, steering is fine, and it wont looked jacked mate if its lowered to suit the size of the wheels (at least 40mm

Thanks for your thoughts. The corsa has a Jap/ Samurai kit, with 15" alloys, and was lowered 60mm at the front, 40 at back (springs on original shocks). After 2 years of no-go speed humps, scrapes and bashes I put it back onto standard springs, and had my front end resprayed new.

Coz there's been no weight on the springs for 2 yrs, the gap above the wheel is big enough to fit a spotty teenagers head. I saw 2 options- 17's to fill the gap, or get different springs- 35 or 40mm. I reckon shorter springs are the best option.

Anyone out there wanna swap a set of 40/60 FK springs for a set of 35 or 40mm front springs? You get to drop your car lower, and I get rid of that Frontera look...

U2U me if interested...

17,s on a corsa no problem at all does not look silly lower it about 20-30mm
i had this its just right
crap looks are when 18,s are put on etc etc...

the only problem i had with 17,s was it was a crap ride only because i only had springs on and it slowed the car down a bit
put shocks on as well even better

i dont get people when they say it wont turn- looks like a monster truck it looks like a monster truck when the wrong offset wheels are bought and to the fatty cause it turns theres more people with 17,s on corsa b than indians in india

poeple these days havent a clue
