Someone offered me 2 x 15/16" subs today, for free!!!
Not hot with car audio (I got a home studio so acoustics is not new to me, although ICE is). Suggestions on how I should wire these puppies in? I need a head unit and amp I know that much, plus good cabling and a crossover.
Any info appreciated. I know the impedance of car audio is usually 4ohm, but what about wiring in 8ohm equipment?
Please post with ideas. Ta.

What make of subs? Do you have a boot build to put them in?

Not even got them yet so dunno. And no way to mount them in as yet either, still some work to do to my motor before I consider the ICE anyway.
Maybe some boxes from Motor World if they got them that big.

Hmmm to wire 8Ohm Stuff in, if you had a 4 Ohm Amp then you would need to wire 2 8Ohm Speakers into each channel that would create a 4 Ohm load on the amp?
Could someone please confirm this for me though?

assuming that the voice coils are single, 8 ohm coils then this is the wiring to show 4 ohm
