Couple of things, firstly any pics of the above, secondly how did you join the two pieces of the scuttle panel together so it has some strength, or did you all just clip it in and wack that little screw in it

My smooth scuttle was a one piece job from ebay, would try and get a 2 piece as it can be an arse to fit without scratching the paint (if the bonnet is still fitted)

to make it easier to fit a 1 piece scuttle, you can put the scuttle in from the window side of the bonnet or get someone to hold the bonnet half open and it slots straight in!
