Any disadvantage in having one? What is the purpose of the vents in the standard scuttle panel?

Is this one any good?

Smooth Scuttle

Thanks

There is no way water can get into the engine bay with a smooth scuttle. Its probably for airflow for the blower fan.

Would prefer a 2 piece one as a 1 piece would be a pain in the arse to fit. Dont want to do it and find it fucks up my heater or pisses a load of water into my engine bay or something daft

Mines a one piece scuttle (Drew made mine for me) and it's been fine- no problems at all:

Not sure how it could affect your heater or engine bay that dramatically though

ive got a 1 piece scuttle like the 1s above apart from i decided now to have the vents as i wanted the fully smoothed look

theyre easy to fit. just take off the wiper blades to leave the bases, unscrew and remove the original 2 piece scuttle. put yours on, screw it in then the jobs a good un'

Does your smooth scuttle have the 4 screw holes like on 3CMs?

One at each edge then 2 in the middle?
