my brother bought a corsa last week and it had the cambelt changed three months ago plus the was a sticker just inside the door saying it had been changed but as its only a five minute job i took the cover off to have a look at the cambelt and this is what i found, not good at all, its getting changed at a local garage that we use next week but a cambelt cant go this bad in three months can it? sorry for the essey

That aint right

wouldnt even risk driving that. its either not been changed or could have been over tensioned.

i no, its nearly in two pieces, hes not drving it until he take it to the garage, but thats about 7 miles away, hell just have to take it easy, the thing is, because its his first car, i no hes been raging it, lucky it hasnt snapped by now

would tow that to the garage otherwise bill could be alot more.looks like its been rubbing on something

a £110 timing belt kit with tensioners rolers etc from vaux is much cheaper than new engine
