might be a daft question but is the earth and power on the right terminals on the amp if so they dont touch do they??????

You don't want fuses to be more than enough.
150a fuse is useless if the your amp blows up and the cable all goes on fire and its still not blown.

got to be fault with the amp mate,

do you have any mates who you could connect the amp into thier cars just to confirm if it is a problem with the amp?
