i want to clean my engine up, by this i mean getting rid of all the dirty and polishing shiney bits up

any idea's of the best way of doing this?

Halford's engine cleaner is pretty good, spray on and leave for a few minutes then clean off. Gunk is good for the more stubburn thing's.

whats the best thing to use to clean under neither engine cover?

that makes no sense "neither engine cover" do you mean under the engine cover? if so gunk degreasant... or white spirits work a treat (found out they're brilliant at getting grime off hands lol... found that out when cleaning up an icv)
