ok so this amplifier
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Alpine-MRP-M350-Class-D-Mono-Amp_W0QQitemZ9714137197QQcategoryZ18797QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
powering 2 of these subs at 2ohms
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kenwood-KFC-W300S-600Watt-12-Sub-B-N-With-Warranty_W0QQitemZ9712539975QQcategoryZ18805QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
the amplifier puts out 350w rms at 2ohms
and the subs are 150w rms each
so is this perfectly matched?
i havent bought an alpine amp before, are they any good? reliable? wellmade?

just read in its specification that it is a 4ohm sub and it has 4ohm voice coils
so i guess i cant run a 2ohm impedance through them
ah well ill look for a different amp
thanks john

if you run the subs (4 ohm single voicecoil) in parallel to the amp, then the amp will see a 2 ohm load, so yes they are well matched...
