i thought it was post 97 models, speaking to a bloke he reckons he's got a 94 1.0 that has a problem, didnt thik they were that earley
It start and runs fine untill he has to stop where the engine starts searching and reving up and down... if he puts his foot down on the clutch the engine idles very low (as low as 200revs) and trys to stall.
Prob is he isn't local so any suggestions as to fixing this?

bad little engines, i noticed when in a busy town walking about, most of them are running on 2 cyclinders, can't afford that has only 3 to start with lol Honestly its true, cause i know the sound of them firing on 3 and then on 2 bacause my sister had one for 2 years. Apperantly the tappets tend to cease. bck on topic tho Have no idea why the car mentioned would stall when the clutch is pressed, sounds quite serious i'd get vaux to have a look at it.

just when i think about it, you know the way that some very early corsa's came with a 1.2 carb engine same as nova, would it be possible that this car could be fitted with the nova 1.0 OHV since you think that the 3 cyclinder was not out till 97? i know it would'nt be a 3 cyclinder if it was a 1.0 ohv but maybe the guy just said it was a 1 litre? Sounds rare but could vaux have fitted the ohv same as the 1.2 carb cause engines were scarce
