yeah so why are you saying its pointless for him to enter the fast car group?

You dont know his driving skills?
You dont know what his car is capable of!

Its all down to the drivers confidence!

If he doesnt feel confident going against faster cars then he should enter standard cars... but this isnt to say there wont be very good drivers in that group!

you cant look at a list of cars on a trackday and tell what your going to be slower or faster than, i just doesnt work like that. Its all about the drivers experince, if the day is split into sessions, novices, intermediates and pro and its your first time on track, go in the novices, you can always change it if you suddenly discover your James Hurst. Anything else you will just piss everybody else off.

I've already said, if he wants to go in the fast group then do it.

I agree 100% a good driver makes all the difference and a good driver in a slower car can hassle someone in a faster car. Though since this is butlers first track day, my car can kill 106 1.3 Rallyes and I don't consider my car quick, and knowing what sort of quick cars you can get at track days - I was just offering some friendly advice.

It was infact you rob who got on your high horse, saying I don't know your 'Skillz'. etc. I care not of your skills, since butler asked the question and I'm assuming butler will be driving.

I could be wrong and it may be full of 'slow shitters' - so it'll be a great day out. Either way, I was only trying to offer some friendly advice, at the end of the day what he wants to do is up to him.

Not sure if I've got any exams around that time.

Either way my car currently has a blown gear box and is still waiting for my 4-2-1 manifold and bilstein shocks to be fitted

I just rang up the helpline. They say both me and robs car both fit into the standard category, they are expecting lambos and ferraris or cars running anything around 400bhp in the fast cars! Haha.
