This car is turning into so much of a money pit I'm not sure I even want to get this sorted, but here goes.
Had problems with alternator not earthing properly due to part of the manifold breaking off that it was attached too. Anyway Mr AA sorted that with a bodge. Earth looks good to me yet car still judders and refuses to hold revs?
fuel pump? sounds like its out of petrol, or is it the alternator playing up (its new).
If it is fuel pump how much is it likely to cost.
Such a pain as I need to sell it to help fund buying a new car. Had to spend 350 already this year on various repairs

Well I tried it again and it started up fine, but I'm still having problems from time to time. Engine management light comes on, lalong with almost every other light. Speedo is fine. Got a spark from the plug. It just loses power, and the have rev to hold the revs or it cuts out.
Like I said fine now, but every so often she just losses all power and dies, or wont start without crazy amounts of reving.

The problem I have is I'm buying a new car and already I've spent a large sum of money fixing problems. I will have to take it into the garage and prey they can sort it cheaply.
