Right, I have read the topped FAQ bit of the ICE section, but still require assistance please. I have got bored of my shite stereo system in my car, atm, I am running a Pioneer MP3 headunit, through cheap 2nd Hand Pioneer Coaxials, and the standard rears. However, the coaxials are literally balancing in the door holes atm! and because of this, have a tendancy to short out on the doors and losing all sound for a while! I brought an Autoleads adaptor kit on ebay but it cant have been complete or no the right kit, as it didnt fit in the right holes and I couldnt screw the door pocket back on So, I want to know, is there a size speaker that I can buy and literally screw straight into the gap in the door thats already there? Also, how the fcuk do you get to the speakers in the rear? Sorry for being a retard, I havent ever bothered to tinker with my stereo really, but now Im getting to bored of it!!

why not just pop into halfords and get one of the autoleads adapters for a corsa mate??
and i think you have to take out that big plastic trim to get at the rear speakers

also wrap some electrical insulating tape around the connections on your speakers to stop them shorting

Yeh I may do - but they are pretty pricey for a bit of plastic imo! Was just wondering what size I could buy if not to just screw directly into the door? Measured the old standard ones, and inc the special mounting bit they have, they are about 5.25inch i think And good point about the tape btw!

Dont think you'll find many decent speakers that will fit without adapters tbh mate
