Car goes like stink but idling wise it sounds like a 60's american muscle car are ticks over far too low about 600-700 rpm and splutters, sounds misfiry.

The only problem i have is this, what can it be.

No fault codes shown
CTS changed for a known good one
Was Revving high initially

pull one spark lead out at a time and see if it makes any difference. Sounds like its firing on three on idle.

when i worked at a garage for abit one of the mechanics checked to see if a car was running on three by pulling one lead out at a time, if it made it run worse, plug it back in then move onto the next lead, so forth. Obviously if it doesnt sound like it runs worse when you pull a lead out then its bound to be that one at fault
