Hi everyone, long time no post! I used to come here quite a bit when I had my silver GSi, I check back every now and again but now I need some help...
My new girlfriend has a 1997 Corsa Sting, 5-door. The heated rear screen has become pretty weak and takes AGES to demist. I've checked the fuse and relay which both seem fine and by going across the terminals on the window it's getting about 10.5V. Is that right?
Is there an achilles heal on the rear screens that cause them to do this, like a standard place that the wire breaks or a weak relay?
Cheers in advance
Jay

Will more than likely be a bad earth if it's running on low volts. If it's not that then it could be the battery or alternator is on it's way out...

Hard to believe, but I'll try cleaning the window properly. I'll also check the earth.

It could be that moisture is getting inside the car. It will take longer to clear if both sides of the glass are misted up. The thing it could be is if some of the strips on the window are damaged. This can cause the back window to clear at the bottom but not at the top or visa versa. You can get special paint to rejoin the strips. Hope this helps.

Cheers mitch2. Seems all the strips are working, just very slowly but I'll check them all for minor breaks.
Can anyone confirm if the glass should be getting the full 12V or if 10.5V is right?
