right i have a 1.4 16v corsa, and im thinking of getting rid of the k&n induction kit in favour of the standard air box, then maybe just buy a k&n panel filter.

which do people prefer?

drill any of the airbox thats on the sides away from the engine and below the line of the air filter so air is still filtered. just as long as there is enough plastic for the airbox to still be there

for the cold air feed I'm using a K&N type one. you can get them from Halfords and the like

no need to drill the air box just get a big screwdriver on the rectangular cover on the bottom of the air box, it soon comes off.
plus if u want sell the car you can just fit it back on

Standard airbox with a nice hose like that one on ebay fed into it, mounted behind the grill, the shortest the distance the better, make a fat hole in it big enough for the hose, maybe mesh it over.
