afaik, it allows oil mist to separate

which apparently creates better drivability at lower revs

not sure how much truth is in it all, but it seems a popular mod.

I've seen alot of people chucking a filter on the breather pipe rather than drilling as well.

it basically allows oil to demist around the cams, and somehow that makes lower revs better and easier to drive?

im not clued up, but apparently it works, so I wouldn't worry about it

aye she works alright doing that. all to do with the low revs kangaroo style when an air filfter is fitted.\

although, ive never noticed any difference after doing it on any of my old xe's. but its been a common mod on mig for years

also under heavy cornering you can put some oil juice through the breather pipe into the inlet manifold which gives a puff of blue smoke through the exhaust because you're burning oil.
breqather mod prevents that.
