Hey,

A mate of mine who is a mechanic thinks that i need some new shocks for my car as the new ones are screwed. Does this mean that i need to buy a whole new suspension kit?

Anyone got any new sets, or any suggestions for what i need to do?

They need to fit my 1999 3dr Corsa (B)

Cheers for any help,

Corsaevu.

i needed new ones, couldnt find many available separately, think gmax did

i ended up gettin fk 40mm budget kit springs+shocks, used the shocks and sold the springs.

Yeah, off the top of my head Koni and FK do individual shocks and springs. In my opinion, suspension wears down pretty evenly so your best replacing the whole lot at the same time. You can get a sports suspension kit for £230 upwards.

can you get a decent full suspension kit that does not lower the car?

You could just buy the shocks and use your old springs. May as well get standard shocks and springs from vauxhall in that case.

i have a '94 gsi it has a full g-max set up -40mm it looks great although the front appears lower than the back but i don't mind it handles like she's bolted to the road love it, it cost £250 and i'm happy with the ride not to hard not to soft.

I have RSX kit, well recommended. You will need to check the application version of what car is what made for i.e Corsa 1.0 and then the years it covers.. hope this makes sense
