might aswell whack in a 1gig ram in there whilst ya at it

512 = £30ish

1gig = £50-60ish

i have a mac and it costs about 70 for a 512 upgrade...

yes but it might be different and not as popular as a windows pc to get hold of a chip 4 so there4 more expensive

You will only need 256mb to make 512.

You sound like a total novice, so guess you may have trouble installing it, but crucial let you look up your PC on their site to find the right memory for it.

They are also the cheapest I've ever seen online and offer great delivery.

It depends on the Mac. The Powermacs use exactly the same RAM as a newish Windows PC. DDR 3200. This isn't £70 for 512mb, this is a lot cheaper. The iBooks and iMacs, hoewever, might cost this much. I don't know the RAM that they take.
