would it be possible to put a corsa sri 8v cylinder head onto my 1400 8v engine ? would need mpi fuel pump/lines?

if possible its just a bit easier to swap cylinder heads instead of full engines?

swapping engine would be easy'r you would need engine, engie loom, ecu, and a mpi fuel pump

Yea, but i guess you'd need everything that comes with the head like inlet/exhaust manifolds, injector rail. I'd imagine the blocks are identical...

pistons are different afaik

as Sri-co says, pistons are differenting giving a altereted CR.

Also it woiuld be cheaper and easiler to buy a whole SRi engine and put that in than have to pay £50 for a head gasket set for the 1.4.

I have a 80k 1.4 SRi engine sat in the shed looking for a new home

thing is iv i was gona put mpi pump in,id probably want a 16v engine to be honest

got a sxi engine from a w reg but its been stood for months,needs a engine mount and a gearbox..hmmm might seriously think about puttin it in my ls
