Im using a 1.4 ls spi at the moment, and it's using alot of petrol atm, and i don't know why!
It's not leaking from anywhere, and ive recently changed the oil oil filter and head gasket.
Im using a tenner to at least every 100 miles!!! I used too do about 250-300 iirc...

£10 for 100 miles is proper good mate, what are you complaining about?
how about getting 40 miles for a 10er?

i drive it normally every day i never thrash it ever, i don't need too i set the clock for it once with a tenner and it would last me a week, now i am spending with the same journeys around 30 pounds a week, those figures sounded bollocks when i wrote them, but i was getting more than 100 miles out of a tenner up untill a couple of weeks ago.
40 miles for a tenner, you must still be speeding around ely

i only get 270 ish from my 1.2...when i had a drilled airbox and k&n it only had 240 to a tank

yes i ballsed up the figures abit, i used to get 100 too a tenner and now im no where near it, i got 300ish from a full tank, but havn't tried that for a while!

i used to get 280 odd miles for 20 quid in my 1.4spi, is getting more that way now prices are goin back down

fill up your tank and see what its doing to a full tank.
to make 100% sure your numbers are right....

ive just got 310 miles to the tank on my 1.4 spi! imo its to do with the weather, its been ultra cold lately, however i only usually get 360/370 to a tank, i have to drive through town everyday too.

Why don't people use MPG, a reliable standard figure? £10 of petrol isn't the same everywhere, and it's a poor comparison with other fuels at different prices.

My misses always does around 340 miles to around £30 in her 8v Sri, she does, unsuprisingly, drive like a girl though.
Try chaging the cts and thermostat if its not getting hot.
