Hi i bought an 1998 Corsa last week, and it still has all the original ICE in it.
Its my first car and ive never done anything like this so ive been doing as much research as possible.
The way i see it is:
To replace the headunit, i would need to unscrew the Grub screws, and remove it with the stereo removal keys.
I would then need to get rid of the cage right?
Im planning on buying this stereo http://www.hendoncarstereo.co.uk/cgi-bin/show_popup.cgi?prod_id=CDE9845RR
Would i get a new cage with it or what?
and would i need to mess about with the connections at the back or would they still be ok?
With the speakers im only planning on upgrading the front ones.
If i bought these adapters http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/2000.html
and then these speakers http://www.hendoncarstereo.co.uk/cgi-bin/show_popup.cgi?prod_id=SPE1302
would it be easy to fit?
Would i need to remove the door panels, or change any of the wires?
If anyone would take the time to reply i would be grateful.
Any advice is welcome

yes, i would expect you would get a new cage with it. to get the original cage out theres a screw at the back, youll need to get that out as well. Buy an iso connector for the head unit or chances are it wont work properly.

In my last corsa I replaced the door speakers with 13cm speakers and was shocked to ind that they sounded terrible compared to the original speakers. The original corsa door speakers are larger than 13cm and can give better bass notes. Also they are used in conjunction with the tweeters further up in the doors.
If your gonna replace the door speakers I would advise getting some components (2 mid range and 2 high range tweeters) instead.
I saw these recently, might be worth looking into.

As for wiring the stereo, most stereos come with an ISO connector on and it just so happens that your corsa has the same.
