i have 2 x 4ohm alpine type r subs in boxes....

i also have a vibe vp4 amplifier...

how should i wire these and what load should i be using ( 4 ohm, 2 ohm or 1 ohm)?

diagrams please...

i know the amp is a very powerful one and i dont wana blow my subs...tips welcome

dunno wht the rms of your subs are, so pick the one that suits best

for the lower output im guessin i would use the 4ohm load!?

they are about 300rms each!
the 1 ohm load with give out about 1200 rms yesh?

750 rms at 2 ohm
450 rms at 4 ohm

ah rite. so Jake's right.

Get two of them alpine 300wrms 2ohm DVC subs, wire them thusly to give a 750wrms out put

or... do you already have the subs? if so, i recomend another amp...

i have the amp and subs already but im wanting to change the subs.... for another 2 x 10" subs.... can you recommend anything better to suit the amp

yes. RE SX15...

just butcher you install about abit to fit it in. at £150 inc a SPL competition box, im finding it crazy you havent jumped at it!

as i said earlier i dont have any back seats in my car so i have room for it... i could sell the alpines for now and when ive got a little more money buy some decent 10" subs aswell..

i was advised not to run a 15 and 2 10's at the same time.

i just posted a thread asking if that can be done, if the wrms are the same on all subs..
