As above really, i've warped my front discs, 2litre conversion on a corsa b.... so what you recommend i replace them with?

Currently brembo grooved and vented 256mm are on, so do i just get some more of these, or a different make?

any suggestions what to get & where appreciated

Replace them with GM ones that won't warp.

Yea, the quality of OEM car parts is so much higher than the aftermarket crap people buy. Especially if you buy ones with holes drilled in them or grooves cut into them. Those sorts of things will always weaken the disk.

As far as I know the disks are all the same. You just need to tell the man that you want, for example, some Cavalier GSI front disks. I'm unsure of the quality but I think you can get new disks from Halfords for about £30 a side for a Cavalier. They aren't drilled or grooved so they won't get heat spots to they shouldn't warp...

how are rotor discs "chav" ? chavs dont change brake discs full stop and you know it ! they get a sunstrip, wanker lights and exhaust trims haha . why dont you like them ? what is the actual performance like?

you need 256x24mm vented discs when you order them.
Rotor discs is an image thing, no performance gain.

I had EBC pads and disks on my last valver, warped within 6weeks of having them.

Let the pads properly bed in first for 2-300miles before you begin late braking if you do any, that was probably my down fall!

Was still dissapointed they warped so easilly though after paying out a fair bit for them.

standard brakes are vented anyway, but there is no need to have drilled and grooved discs on a 1.4. Just stick some standard GM jobbies on there, probably wont get better performance without upgrading the whole to 4pots or something similar.

Yea, exactly. They have had material cut away from them so they have weak spots in them, they will crack and warp. You don't upgrade brakes like that anyway. You should use different calipers if you want more power.

so what are the best brakes/calipers for a 1.4 16v then ?? where can u get them from and rough price please (bearing in mind a rag it and often have to stop quick, so standard ones dont really cut it) sorry for invading the thread

This is also what I thought feeling bigger caliper really neads bigger master cylinder to get a really good pedal
