Having a problem once again with my computer.
Start it up & it goes no further than the screen below, just freezes on this screen



Anyone know whats up with it or suggestions/ tips?

can you start it up in safe mode...... if there is still such a thing with 2000....

i cant even r'ber what F key to press now....

Does the same thing & freezes at the point where it says ' Starting windows' blah blah

what does it do when you chuck your install cd in and say 'fix it, bitch'

You plugged anything in since it last worked? Installed anything nuuuuu?

Are all thingies plugged in ok at the back?

cant start a service probably, im surprised it hasnt blue screened, or moaned about a corrupt hive file.

scrap it and install XP, especially as MS arent supporting 2000 mainstream anymore

plug HDD in other machine and copy what you want off it then scrap it

^^ as he said. Buy new HDD and install XP then have the HDD with win2k on it as a second drive. Transfer all files across then format old HDD.

take your hard disk drive out of your Pc and plug it into another computer, you must know sumeone with another pc? then it will be seen as another drive, copy all files you want off to his PC then wipe the hardrive and install XP

place xo disk in, boot off it, follow onscreen instructions to reformat and reinstall windows
