Do about 1200 miles a month on average... Wondering if there is any way I could lower fuel consumption?

I drive a 1.4 sport, and I get about 100 miles to a tenner... Don't drive it hard.

I know there will probably be no way, just an idea.

(No comments about buying a diesel :lol

Strip the rear seats out if you dont use them and loose as much weight from the car as possible. Less weight you have to lug about, the less petrol you need to use to accelerate the car .

Could also bump up the tyre pressures a little, but this has adverse effects on handling and tyre wear, so proberbly not the best. May be worth going for "fuelsaver" tyres, like michelin energy, rather than sporty tyres like Toyo's etc.

Other option is to Try using super unleaded fuel. Heared many people say it increases MPG, but you'd have to work out how benificial it is, when offset agains the extra cost .

Or get an ecotek valve... will cost 50 quid from the shops. Doesnt do much for performance but you should roughly 30-40 more miles out of a tank of fuel once its settled in
