...its a pugeot 306 1.4 and he told me that its started to sound wierd. needs a service pretty badly and is going in for that soon so i just ignored him.
then we went to the cinema tonight and i noticed how high his temp was sitting, it was at 100 almost in red just crusing on the motorway. i asked him about this and he said he just ignores it these days. he commutes into work so itll daily be stuck in traffic and be in the red!
i was thinking this was a prob with the fan, thinking it was prob knackered.
then he tells me that its hotter is the lights are on  i took the piss a bit more and then he tells me that if hes electric window motors are running itll be hotter still! i of course layed with the windows the rest of the journey and the lights in the car dimmed and everything!!!
so by now im thinking theres just fuck all energy in the battery so the fans maybe not getting power to keep the engine cool.
then when we get back he shows me about the lights, and as soon as he turns off the lights it jumps straight from 95 to 90 in a second. he takes his foot of the brakes too and it drops another degree! this throws my no energy to the fan idea out the window as if it did have power it still couldnt cool it that much that quick. could it!
so now all i can think is the electrics are fucked completely and that the guage constantly reads oddly because of this. but i dont no, anyone got any ideas?

possibly the body control module's fucked but you'd probably get better results posting on a peugeot website or sumfin.
ask em to check it diagnostically when you get it serviced

yea i just wondered wot the hell else it could be! its his problem tho!
i just enjoyed watching the lights dim just from me playing with the elctric windows!

Has he wired a stereo in him self ?
if he has then take it out and then see if your problem is still there

The fans should kick in at 90 degrees, so if it's up at 100 there's a problem. Does he actually have water in the coolant system?
