recently fitted a set of 16"s to my corsa, 195/45/R16 profile, and just had two new tyres on the back with curb protection, front are runnging Pirelli Drago P5000 tyres.
Coming home from work today noticed its very hard to keep car in a straight line? as if track rods need adjusting or something? i turn the wheel slightly on a straight flat road and it steers a lot? Im running standard shocks and springs and they are fairly worn...could this be it?
sorry for the essay

Im thinking it needs harder, lower springs and perhaps a tweak on the track rods?

I'd have to drive it to know exactly what you describing but as a precaution you probably want to get it tracked.
If anything newer tyres on the rear means more grip at the back which means understeer if anything.
Either that or the tyres are not scrubbed yet, give it 100 miles or so.
If it snaps and spins then you may have a problem. If it just feels different but doesn't have any particularly major tendency then its just the feeling from new bits and possibly nothing to worry about.
Get it tracked though.

Get it tracked though.
Is that costly or?
Car used to pull to the left a little when i was running 14"s on it, doeesnt seem to pull either way now, just a bit flinchy at high speeds
Corners like a dream

Between £10 - £20 to get tracked.

my car drives terrible with alloys on, pulls across road etc and is hard to keep straight, sometimes it just suddenly dives to one side, quite agressively
have put steelies back on and its better, still a bit odd, but much nicer to drive

trouble only started last night, as I had taken my car to a garage to get 2 directional tyres swapped round, so 2 new ones were on back, 1/2 worn on front.
Now tonight, put the new tyres on the front, 1/2 worn (pirelli's) on the back, and car drives like a dream?
Wierd IMO
