alright ppl. jus ad me car yesterday. its had 3 mature owners, its ad a k & n n rear lights on. its done 49k and since i av ad it iv dun 90 miles. been drivin rnd 2day n all of a sudden the k & n has got louder n the powers gone. checked the oil, water, plugs but all ok. did 2miles n the temp went 2 near 100.
can ne1 suggest or tell me wats wrong?

not sure??? but it could be remotely possible that the temp sensor on the inlet manifold has come out that would make it louder and ir its touching somthing hot then that mite produce the wrong reading. but that is just a guess to try and help

coolant temp sensor, like said, could be faulty/come loose (connection)
does it run like a bag of nails? ie lumpy like its only firing on 3 or less cylinders?
does the management light come on?
has anyone blocked your exhaust?

yeh it runs like a bag of nails. yeh a mechanic who lives a few doors done sed it snds like its firin on 3 cylinders. the management light aint on wen the engines on. no 1s blocked the exhaust.

the 4 plugs av been checked n all ok. not the lead tho.

if you're in traffic then it will run at near 100 anyway

took it 2 1 garage this mornin who sed it was the head gasget, after that another garage sed they cudnt say wat it was n no its booked in monday mornin at a local engine tuning garage who will look at it for me. thanks 4 all ur suggestions.
