was adjusting the beam level on my headlights with the engine off for good 20-30mins!! 
when tried to start car up, battery was dead coz the starter motor turned once then stopped!
its not completely dead, still has some juice coz the interior lights, alarm, head unit and mfd time and date settings etc, are fine...
so could i just hook it up to the charger for few mins then try to start and let it charge up with the alternator normally with engine running?
or will it need a full recharge with the charger, if so how long?

sounds like it just dont have enough to turn and fire, id say jump leads and go for a good half hour drive !

yeah thats what i thought mate, coz this has happend to once before 
but that time the battery was completely DEAD 
the car is in the garage so i cant do a jump start of another car!
will using the car battery charger as a jump start work??

No charger wont give it enough to jump start the car stick the battery on charge for an hour and try turning it over again!

i stuck it on charge for 10mins and it fired up first atempt straight away!!
so does this mean the battery is fine and just needed a little extra boost to start the car??

just means the battery was worn down and couldnt supply enough juice to turn the starter.
make sure u give it a good drive before turning the engine off
