my gears, are really sloopy, not the actual gears cos it drives fine, just the gearstick. no matter wot gear im in i can always shake it like it where in neutral!

it caused great amusment when i first got the car, but its kinda wearing thin now

i no its not the gearbox cos its the same after i had a new box with my engine conservion, so im thinkin linkage or something?

can anyone help? its a corsa b btw

yeah worn linkage, depending what engine ya got depends on how hard it might be due to tightness of space etc, if ya can get good access from above and below its not too bad but bear in mine the corsa gear linkage it shit and sloppy so it wont make that much difference

hmmm, i took it apart a little, and it only wobble cos of this crap in here:



so has nothing to do with linkage and doing crap in the engine bay...yesh?

how can i tighten all this up? im guessing its just age?

But like i said dont expect miracles the corsa gear linkage is pants, came sloppy as standard

how about if i buy a short shift thingy, i might as well buy better parts if im buying parts

would that replace all of that crap, and would it be much nmore precise?

nope wont replace that shit, it replaces the linkage on the gearbox, but will help a bit

screw it then, ill buy new bits from vauxhall so it should be just as it was out the factory, even if that was shit, itll still be a million times better than that poo
