Whats the best way to take this out. How do i get the vents off and the centre switch with the heated rear window?

look in tutorial section mate! basically rag the vents downwards then theres a screw each side, then with the heater switch get a small thin screwdriver and poke in hole underneath and pull of, then theres 2 other screws here -

the vents placed each side of the hazard light need to be forced down. So position the them so air is being directed down, then force them further untill they click. This leaves a small gap for you to get a screw driver in. You should be ablle to see a screw in each vent to undo. Next up the air circlation tab needs to be forced of. Once done you can prise off the small bottom panel to reveal 2 more screws.
you should be able to move the whole middle section out a bit. I think there are four plastic clips to undo to allow you to fully remove panel. When puttting back watch the clock lead, and make sure the vents are in properly. Nothing worse than a clock that flashes on and off, along with loose vents. Watch the hazard switch is lined up (remove button cover if need be to check).
Heated rear window switch should just prise off.

Sorry about that. I didnt actually remove the switch (just pulling unit out to add neon switch) but looking at the haynes manual there is a retaining clip at the bottom of the button to remove first.

I snapped the rear heater switch taking mine off  is it easy to replace then?

yeah mine was broken when bought car....
dont know what he was doin cus not sprayed or owt but did have a fibre lookin material around it so prob when he did that

gives u a step by step guide
Don't get the Max Power one it doesn't really have any tutorials get the proper Haynes one. Thats what's more useful when actually doing something to a car

Well having both the max power, and standard haynes guide, Im going to say the max power book is very good. Its full of tutorials, fitting car alarm, de locking, and how to spray the centre console.
If you want some ideas for cosmetic changes then you need the max power book. Full handy little tips.
If on the other hand you want to know technical info then normal haynes.

i did three on tuesday
10mins each time
ill be removing two dash's on sat
