Im thinking of buying a JVC KD-s641 head unit before long, I've been told this has the 2 RCA jacks needed to plug an amp into, but does anyone know whether it was the jack on it for the remote wire?

I think there on block contecters blue with white strip or just blue oh the top of my head they will be there don't panic.

dont have a manual, bought it second hand, only came with the box, ISO block etc and remote wire

yeh mate, what ive done is piggy backed the blue wire that goes into the headunit

Exactly what I tried this afternoon, also wired up the amp to the battery etc etc workss a treat

nice one, mate. I shat myself today, didnt disconnect the battery when trying to connect a powercable, couple of sparks. Did you disconnect the earth first?

nope took the live off the batt. while I was fitting the live feed for the amp, decided it was maybe safer to leave it disconnected while fiddling with the radio wires too
