Is this a hard job to do? Anything that is particlarly tricky?

It has the F20 box btw

I would like to do it myself but if its a really tricky job I'd prefer a garage to do it

Cheers

walk in the park mate, tools needed are a 30mm socket for the driveshaft nut... drop the shocker and track rod end... pull the shaft from the box and slide the cv from the disc, use a circlip pliers to prise the clip open and push the cv joint off the shaft, for all the price a new cv boot is id get one as well....

Oh and get proper Vauxhall boots with the strong metal clips and not the cable ties.

And pack the joint with plenty of grease.

Not got a piece of pipe that'll go over it though

They quoted me about £100-£110 including parts. I think its about £50 for the CV joint itself
