i have a BFO filter n a backbox as for the engine thats it, i try n change gear between 3k n 3.5k when driving, yet i get bout 250miles to a full tank or petrol...? i obv boot it occasionally but not all the time...

do things like new spark plugs etc make a diff wondering if i should change em or not

a leak, mine was as simple as a fuel tank made of blotting paper

@ a rough estimate i avarage 27 to the gallon in my 1.4 8v SRI ( green cotton cone filter ported n polished head and bk box) avrage driveing with the ocasional boot

i do about 26-27mpg with gear changes to 2.5krpm.. i drive like a grany !

hmm i dnt av the sri i have single point engine... i get roughly 28mpg spose not that bad then its just i cant wqork out how ppl in Xe's etc r gettin same sort of mileage

wheels and sound system can also cause poor MPG! Try driving with the standard airbox back in!
