The Ariel plug behind my head unit  . Can I just cut one of another Corsa and Solder it to the wire? Thanks!

Get a new crimp aerial connector from halfords - the aerial wire has a slightly thicker wire running down the core and thin strands around the outside. The core needs to go down the middle of the connector and the strands round the outside.

replace the lot m8, crimpin will work, but if ur gonna do the job id do it correct in the first place...a replacement lead and ariel bass i around 16 squid....i need new another new one as i snapped my airiel again, when the boot opens with the spolier on :S

I didn't snap the actual ariel, Just the plug that plugs into the back of the head unit...

or you could replace the section of aeriel wire that runs from the passenger footwell (behind the plastic trim on left) to the rear of head unit. Make sure you take a good look at connection though cos Vaux normally get this part wrong - double check!!

if u start cuttin into that wire, your breaking the screen from round the outside..........thus in turn could possably cause interferance from the car electrics, i still reckon u change the whole m8......u could try the above but the earth inside the coax is very thin, and would be very difficult to get it back right again

as you can see cable is a bit steep from vaux, best to go to a scrappy and dig one out

its meant to go on the windscreen but i mounted on under the dash and it worked spot on
Might do that, Sounds easier? But yeh I damaged the Grey Ariel connector behind the head unit

yup it just sticks down, theres about 3 wires and the ariel wire
it is sposed to go on the screen i mounted one behind the dash in a primera and it worked spot on
just wire it up and test it before you stick it down if you get a good signal stick it down
behind the glove box shud be good a place as any

the section of ariel that is broke only goes down to the passenger footwell, if you take the kick panel of you will find where it connects. just buy another from a breakers or vaux and reconnect and trace back to teh head unit.
