Got a 1999 12v corsa.
I've got poor acceleration through the gears (not what it should be at least, i appreciate its a 1.0). Also, when its at the top end I can't put my foot flat to the floor because the car starts to judder and complain, subsequently my top speed is something like 80-82 mph max... I've not had a ECU light come on - yet.
There is excessive play in the clutch, meaning when I lift the clutch up when the cars is stationary and out of gear it will lift up a good 6 inches, is this the problem? Have I answered my own question? 
The only modifications that I have is I've got 15" MW alloys fitted and a K+N induction kit.
Help is needed so I don't get ripped off.... and will be appreciated....

ouch. dont know about that.
just out of intrest what top speed have you had out of your 12v? i take that it's a 1.0L.

are ur wheels the right offset and balanced properly this cud xplain the shaking!

You mean they dont really affect the acceleration? I have a 57i on mine, wudnt change it back to standard.
