I'm getting these new wheels fitted soon:

Do you think i should get them on 16's on my corsa and lower it if so how much 30? 40? or do you think i should get them in 17's?. I've heard this will look pretty stupid on 17's without it being lowered and if i do want it lowered on 17's i'll have to trim down the wheel arches, isnt this true?
What would you do if it was up to you.
thanks.

what offset are they?
if you are fitting them to a corsa B, they should be as close to ET49 as possible, the further away you get, the more chance you will have of them scraping the arches.
If you get 17s, and lower more than 40mm, you will probably have to do arch work
