i need a new exhaust for my nova and was thinking about just making one myself. there is already a 4-2-1 manifold on the car and then its just joint to the original nova exhaust with a peco back box. Its a c20xe engine and manifold. My mate has a good welder and pipe bender so I thought it wouldnt be too hard just to copy the original nova exhaust using a much bigger bore of pipe and then just have a decent back box at the end. You think it would be easy enough to do?

You can buy sections from Jetex dealers and build up your own system.

decent 2" 316L stainless tube is only about £7/m, so a cheaper grade would be fairly cheap...

what you have to remember is if your using bigger bore pipe then the space between bends is going to be shorter due to the radius of the bend, especially if you are copying original exhaust. its not as easy as you think. by the way this is vauxgirls hubby and i have a bit of knowledge about this subject.
