its technique! Not anyone can get a let to do 13's! Its skill and practice!
Dnt forget tims LET is phase 3/3.5,

XE on tb's will be 200 - 240

think that should possibly be a bit wider brad?
i know iceman has a good spec and had to take it back a few times to breach 200. sure theres quite a few in the 180's.
and lucky b's was 250 someone said in here? monster spec, but hey.

you want an everyday drive mate then trust me go for the LET option you want a brilliant grin bearing drive go for the TB's

TB's can be set up to be just as practical as any other NA car...

i drove Luckyb's old car or SteveF's now and found it a little tricky just because you have to have reasonable revs to pull away and you cannot blip the throttle at all.from personal experience my above comment came from

Agreed Brad, your 1/4 mile knowledge is as good as the pictures of naked girls you sent me over msn once.

A skilled driver in a TB'ed 1600 Corsa could outrun a c20let corsa with an un-experienced driver in it.

why couldnt you blip the throttle ????

I beat craig's c20let'd corsa twice on the 1/4mile..... he said it was running lower boost.

He had the boost upped (diff actuator) and we had a wee race on motorway...

id pull away till mid 3rd..... at about 100 he started to rape me....

I personally blip the throttle on and off Adam, I find I get the power on the tarmac quicker than just hoofing it, and after you lift off the throttle on the first few 'blips' you gained grip and your already moving.

WTF are you talking about Des!

The engine pulled strongly from 1500 rpm to the limiter and idled fine & lumpy at around 900-1k rpm...

I could slowly lift my foot off the clutch and pull away without touching the throttle...

"Cannot blip the throttle at all" whats that all about?

Of course you could blip the throttle!

That engine is a total gem.

Are you on drugs?

I think you found it tricky to drive because you had to adapt to driving another car which always takes a bit of getting used too...

What you describe above certainly isn't my old car.

No reason why throttle bodies would stop the engine from being reliable - they do not strain the engnie - it's using race spec cam profiles which make the engine lumpy at low revs and the raised rev limiter which will break the engine/make it harder to drive. After all, the engine will still be an electronic fuel injection job...

No been online for a few days!

RE: The terminal speed, I have run a 15 second plus run, and still hit 107mph, and my best run of 13.5 was just over 108mph. I've got a better terminal speed than my 13.5 run too, I fluffed the launch, but must of worked magic on my gear changes or something.

I remember somebody saying that anything that can hit 110mph in 1/4 of a mile is a VERY good power to weight ratio for a road car. Remember a standard UK scooby won't hit 100 down the 1/4, and it has 4wd (which makes NO or very minor difference )

Think about it, the time you spend spinning, you travel a very short distance, so you have almost the same amount of tarmac with full grip, hence the same terminal speed...ish!

I get your thinking there tim. I just found my slips from the pod with the LET, the best terminal was Lee's 98mph in 14.6, but my best time of 14.4 was at 94mph.

my 14.4's were all around 98... had one 99...

my supra was 114.7 on its quickest run.... but did a 116mph
