hi,

in my uni house we have a internet connection with a wireless router and wireless cards in all the computers. Is there anyway of accessing somebody elses computer when the connection is on?

yes, as long as they are all on the same ip range and subnet, and are using the same access point or another access point with the same encryption, if you wanna browse sumones else PC just note there IP address or machine name, and click start>run and type in \\ip address\c$ and hit enter, to do this though you must have the same user and password set up on the other persons pc

if you dont have a username or p/w on the other PC i can point you in the direction of an excellent program that allows you to blank the administrator password so you can add yourself as a users on that pc

If your wireless network doesnt use any form of encryption like WEP (yes I know its still crackable) then they could be using your network.

If your wireless network doesnt use MAC filtering (can still be bypassed) then yes they could be using your network

If your wireless network doesnt use the above and has DHCP enabled, they have a pretty good chance of using your network.

Either way you are fucked without some sort of funky VPN onto a wired network.
