hi guys, help desperatly needed. i got an alpine MRD-M500 digital amp, and it cuts off when u turn it up, bringing up the error code E-3 which, according to the manual, means over current.
what could be causing this, a mate has suggested it could be a bad earth so i changed it to a different earthing point and it still does it. might try replacing the power lead with a thicker one, would this help?

any help would be appreciated

well i got an alpine 10" dual voice coil sub, but the amp only has 1 output channel so i put 2 wires into each of the terminals to run the 2 voice coils in parallel. could this be why?? i followed the wiring diagrams on the instructions

thats kinda how it is, but instead of having the junction between the 2 wires on the sub, i got them connected before that in a seperate connection box thing. does this make a difference and should i change it to like the picture?

i got it sorted. cos i got dual 2ohm sub, when they are wired in parallel, they are trying to draw 1ohm out of the amp which it cant do and therefore cuts off.
so i wired them in series til i can afford the dual 4ohm
