its getting on my tits now the guy who i bought the cavvy from tells me its a deffo cocast heed but am not convenced

can cum 1 show me a pic of a cocast heed and a shitty vx heed??

there will be a raised coscast logo under exhaust port 3 if its a coscast.

non coscast heads have a small plug on the passenger side of the head. Coscast ones dont. it just looks like a small plug, about 1.5cm diameter and 5mm or so deep.

here is a NON coscast head. that small circle is the plug i mentioned. Coscast heads dont have that.

Cavaliers never came witha Cosacast head... To check though, it will have Coscast written under the exhast manifold...

that pic above IS a coscast head .. ive got both in me garage and that is deffo a cossie head

early cavs did have coscast and so did calibras

I didn't think they did. I thought it was early Astra GTE's and the LETS.

very fists callys and cavs had coscast but there wasnt many

my engine came from a 90's cav and it is coscast as it's stamped on the head.

actually now i think about it its had a new heed the reason is the was a wee bit gundge left in the oil dip stick thing.

there is littel difference really, especially if you get some headwork done on the standard redtop head.

vx head wasnt as polished inside as the coscast one.


and i beleive sportyboy is right, that pic is of a coscast head.

and iirc as far as which cars came with coscast heads it was only astra gte's and some lets as miles says.
