Does this make a great deal of difference to acceleration?? x16 engine btw..

At the mo ive got calibra leather, small ice etc..

lighter will make the car go faster, but u wanna really have as close to 50/50 weight distribution as possible as just having a really light rear end will effect handling and stability.

Yeah, what Gibbs says is correct, best thing to do is put a heavier spare wheel in the rear.

if its straight line speed your after then every little bit of wieght loss counts in a FWD car

i did this to my 1.4 16v and i have to say its well worth doing. Handling improved, fuel economy improved!, performance improved.

in a FWD car you will want the weight over the front wheels, a good suspession setup should keep it all good
