all of them come with 'burnproof' or the generic term write protection. theres loads of names for it, burnproof is the one invented my sanyo.

if you are looking for a dvd writer you cant go wrong with a pioneer dvd-107 (a07)

I've got an NEC 1300 but it doesn't have burnproof for DVD writing The buffer keeps running out It's only 4* too

4 speed is pretty good for a DVD writer, might be getting an 8 speed one next week. Was looking at the NEC ones but will probably pay the extra for a Pioneer, bout £99 for an 8 speed

get an MSI 8x got very good reviews.

Saxo_Nut your pc should be more than adequete. Have you try changing the settings from DMA to PIO? This helped on mine but mine wasn't a buffer underrun problem!

get the pioneer 107 here (SVP Communications)

priced @ £99.98. they are the best writer on the market. and hwen choosing your blank media go for a "ritek" dye disc. they are the best and for the price they are now there is no point in bothering with anything else

need anymore dvd-r help just u2u me
