Depends what you want. If you do the tb's you'll be spending a fair bit of money for an ok bit of power, and that will be pretty much all you can get out of it for reasonable money.

Its more of a lazy power than the tb's.

LMFAO @ Corsabubbles hints.

Both is pointless and expensive.

A turbo rebuild shouldn't be that more expensive that an tb'd XE rebuild, only the cost of the turbo to to add....

Well i say rebuild if i got to take sump off i may as well fit some arp bolts and some new bearings engine done 90k ish and my car only done 42k so i always planed on rebuild so i may as well get it all sorted in 1 go

Tb'd cars have a bigger power band which is smoother, a straight power line at about 45 degree's, no real peaks( obviously cam dependant). A let will have a obvious peak.

My car has excellent pick up and throttle response, a turbo will have a bit of lag but more power down the rev range. You dont race at low RPM though do you!

Oh no, i totally agree, but hten you dont race when plodding through town either.

Agreed about the power band, but u can't beat torque (i like torque, not fussed about peak power ). Turbo u can just put ur foot down at any rpm and it'll go. Tb, although still good, its never gonna be like a turbo and needs a gearchange up to make up for the lack of torque.

A year down the line and my opinions are pretty much the same. Having owned a fairly high powered LET (Although in a 4wd Calibra) for 8 months, I appriciate what they are like. If modded well, or in good nick as standard they shouldn't pose many problems, as long as you are prepared for things like the turbo needing a recon if over 100k old.

Basically, a LET Corsa would be great on the motorway, but the TB'd XE better for drivability and fun.
